Permanent Orienteering Course:
3 miles north east of Mansfield off B6030. OS Sheet 120 SK587627. There is one line course with extensive views from the top of the hill, 2.6 km and an alternative route that is shorter and avoids the hill. The POC map can be download from the Go Orienteering site.

Vicar Water Country Park is the site of a former colliery, now heathland, woodland and grassland with spectacular views across to Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

The following MapRun courses are available:
Vicar Water POC course: 2.6 km.
All controls 60 minute score course.

The course has been developed with the help and support of Newark & Sherwood District Council and Actve4Today.
